Arsenal have to sign an out & out striker as soon as possible to boost their attacking force. The Gunners have found it difficult to score at the big stages so far this season. In the last 7 games across all competitions, Arsenal have already lost 4 of them.
That includes losses in the league campaign, which costed them some valuable points. Till the late Septembers, they were at the 2nd place at the table. But while heading into the November International break, the Gunners are sitting at the 4th place at the table, on the brink of loosing the top 4 spot to Villa.
But the reason behind such fumble isn’t because of the injuries or the poor tactical decisions from manager Mikel Arteta. Not having a proper striker is also a reason of that. Their current number 9 Gabriel Jesus has failed to live up to the expectations of the club. And now the manager has completely lost faith in him. The Spaniard is playing Kia Havertz as a striker, who is doing quite well. But he cannot be a striker who will guarantee them 20-30 goals a season.
Jeremie aliadiere wants Darwin Nunez at Arsenal
While Arsenal are looking into the market for a new striker, a former Arsenal ‘Invincible’ Jeremie Aliadiere has claimed some big statements. Jeremie said that Liverpool star Darwin Nunez will be a great fit at the Emirates. While speaking to Footaball365, he stated,
“Darwin Nunez is a type of player who keeps bothering defenders, making runs in behind, stretching the defence, even though it’s not for him, it’s for the team, the others get massive rewards from it.”
He even said that he is a big fan of Darwin Nunez and wanted him when he overheard some rumors of the Uruguayan joining them this summer. Jeremie even said he is not bothered by Darwin’s finishing skills as for him the most important thing is effort.
