Gunners monitoring young superstar as Jesus’s replacement

Gabriel Jesus seems very likely to depart from North London next year. He has not been at his best in the recent times and has fell down the pecking order. Arsenal are keen to sign Benjamin Sesko who was on their radar this summer.

Arsenal were heavily linked with Sesko this summer. But, Sesko decided to stay at Leipzig and even signed a contract extension too. Gunners were said to part ways with both of their exisiting strikers, but the failure to sign new resulted in them keeping Jesus at the club.

Jesus has fell down the pecking order and has lost his place as a regular starter. Kai Havertz is trusted by Arteta in the striker position, which was assigned to the German last season. Havertz is doing really well and already has 6 goals this season.

But it is not yet clear that how Havertz will respond as a striker in the long run. Gunners will still want to sign a new striker who is more clinical and more natural in that position. They have once again turned their attention to Sesko who has started this season on a high note.

Arsenal closely monitoring Benjamin Sesko

According to Football London, Gunners are still keeping tabs on Sesko. Sesko recently signed a new contract with Leipzig which keeps him at club until 2029. But, it seems like Arsenal are ready to pay big and achieve his services next year.

Arsenal will very likely sell Gabriel Jesus next year who is yet to score this season. This will make them strong financially and make their position strong in triggering the release clause of Sesko.

Lastly, Gunners will not be the only club after Sesko next year. He has already scored 6 goals this season and has topped it up by picking 3 assists. Sesko is only 21 years old and is only going to get better and better with time. He has also made 37 appearances for Slovenia at such a young age and has scored 15 times and assisted 6 times.
