Gunners to make a move for Mohammed Kudus?

As the season is moving forward, the Gunners are facing a lot of difficulties on their journey for the mace. After a wonderful start of the season, Arteta’s side has lost their momentum recently. Absences of key players due to injuries has cost a lot for Arsenal at this stage of the season.

In the last three Premier League fixtures, they have only managed to secure only a point, which came against Liverpool couple of weeks ago. This has resulted Arsenal to lose their top four spot to the rivals Chelsea. Apart from that, the recent defeat against Inter at the San Siro in the UCL has made some troubles for the Spanish manager.

The fans are now questioning Arteta about his tactics. Whenever the Gunners gets the lead, they start to defend by forming a bus. This system has costed them two valuable wins against table toppers Liverpool and City. And when Arsenal concede, they find it difficult to score.

Arsenal lacking attacking threat

Arsenal have a world class defensive structure. The duo of Saliba and Gabriel have given elite level performances since the last season. The only problem that the fans are seeing is the lack of depth in their attack.

Arsenal’s number 9 Gabriel Jesus has failed to live up to the expectations of the management. Due his injury issues he missed a lot of games last season. And now he has lost his place as a first choice striker to Kai Havertz. While the Brazilian was injured last season, Havertz had to took over the role of a striker.

And surprisingly he has done it well so far. The German forward has already been involved in more than 20 goals and assists since the start of January. But Havertz isn’t an out-and-out striker who will guarantee more than 20 goals every season. So, Arsenal desperately need a pure number 9 who can score goals like a machine.

And right now there a many options in the market who can play that role for Arsenal. The Gunners are linked with top strikers like Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Dusan Vlahovic and others. But, we can also see a shocking transfer of Mohammed Kudus amidst this striker links. As a potential departure of one of their star forwards, can lead Arteta to buy the Ghanian along with a striker to maintain the balance.

Mohammed Kudus to replace Leandro Trossard?

Leandro Trossard, who has been one of the key players for Arsenal so far this season, can leave the North London club. The 29-year-old forward joined the club from Brighton last summer for a £27 million deal. Last season he was used mostly coming off the bench. But due to the injuries, Trossard has played almost every game so far this campaign.

But, with only 18 months remaining on the contract, Trossard is wanted by many clubs. The Belgian has attracted the interest of Saudi side Al Ittihad, who are ready to offer £30-40 million to Arsenal. And if the Gunners agrees on a deal with them which is quite lucrative for a player who is almost touching his 30’s, it can create room for the arrival of West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus.

As per the reports of the Mirror, Arsenal are planning to place a £90 million bid for Mohammed Kudus to replace Trossard. Arsenal were always interested in the Ghanaian since his days with Ajax. But failed to complete the deal.

Now Kudus is playing in England for West Ham United, as he joined them in the summer window last season. The 24-year-old has been magnificent so far with his showcasing skills. He has already managed to net 16 goals with the hammers. If Trossard leaves the club next summer, Kudus will be a gem of a option to replace the Belgian.
