Harry Kane was thought to be moving to Manchester City but ended up scoring an inspirational brace. The player’s performance would be making Guardiola smack his lips. The qualities that Kane possesses are just exactly what City right now need in a striker.
Harry Kane was involved heavily in movement which led to the first goal. Additionally, he made a picture-perfect pass for Son who then squared it off for Kulusevski. The 21-year-old finished it in a perfect style too.
After Spurs scored their first, City started with a high pressing tactic leading to their 1st of the day. Ilkay who scored a goal from a spilled ball from Ederson gave City some hope for a comeback.
Harry Kane opened his account for the day in the 59th minute. The Englishmen fired a cross from Son-Heung-Min into the top corner. Post timing his run, the goal came as the icing on the cake. Nevertheless, City got the ultimate chance to salvage a point out of the fixture with a penalty in the 90th minute.
Mahrez hammered the penalty into the roof of the nets but that just wasn’t enough drama for the day. In comes Harry Kane destroying the hopes of City. The sublime header in the 5th minute of injury time was the ultimate conclusion of the day.
In the end, City and Pep’s tactics just weren’t enough to contain the sublime Harry Kane. Spurs still remain 8th in the league but if so is their level of the game, then that won’t be their position for long.
