He was made the captain of the team after five months by former Manchester United player and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Harry Maguire was stripper off his captaincy however by Erik Ten Hag on July 2023. This is because he was performing very bad since his last seasons. The fans were expecting him to exit from the club as well under Erik Ten Hag. However, he stayed in the club.
Harry Maguire Redemption Arc:
Harry Maguire were criticized a lot by the Manchester United fans. He had something to prove to them. He stayed to prove that he is worth more than £80 million. For a long time, Harry Maguire was facing a lot of bad things in the club. This is because he was performing very horrendous. He was scoring a lot of own goals and also making defensive errors as well. He was also really slow and failed to track back as well. This lead to a lot of goals as well. Harry Maguire then also got threats from a lot of fans as well. This was really bad from the Manchester United fans.
However, the hate was increasing day by day. The former Reds Manager, Erik Ten Hag got sacked by the club. This is because the team was failing to play in his system and there have been a lot of underperforming players as well. After his sacking, Ruben Amorim joined the club as their Manager and then he made a new system in the team. Harry Maguire became a lot better and is now performing very well under manager Ruben Amorim as well. He also appreciated him by saying that Harry Maguire is a leader in the team. The Redemption of Harry Maguire led to a lot of fans who love him now.

I think this was a perfect redemption arc for Harry Maguire. The fans already call him Harry the Colossus Maguire as well. He faced a lot of criticism. However, the proved that he is a really good player to all the fans that doubted him including me.
