Hector Bellerin wants to leave Arsenal

Bellerin

Hector Bellerin after proving his capabilities in a loan move to Spain is set to return. According to some speculations the player wants to stay at Real Betis. His permanent move to Betis now completely depends on Manuel Pellegrini who counts on the RB.

Last season Bellerin slumped to a new low at Arsenal. His tackles and interceptions fell to 2 per 90 which was down by 29% since 2018. Bellerin’s successful pressures dropped below 10 a game for the first time accompanied by his dribbles which got half a season before. His fame attacking threat felt like a shadow of his former self.

Bellerin and his revival

He needed a change badly even though that came at the cost of halfling his wages. Joining Real Betis on the final day of the transfer window was the turning point in his career.
With Manuel Pellegrini at the wheel, the Spaniard has roared back to 3.3 tackles & interceptions per 90. Including 1.5 successful tackles against opposition dribblers which have improved by a staggering 200%. His successful pressures stand highest in five years making his time at Arsenal completely unrecognizable.
The Spaniard’s numbers are impressive but his work on the field was even more impressive.

His improved 1.2 key passes per 90 have helped him to draw two assists this season. Bellerin with his time at Betis has resurrected his career and wants to stay beyond this season. His form was instrumental in Copa del ray victory which Betis secured after a long wait since 2005.
The Spaniard is only 26 and his move away from Arsenal would see him enjoy his prime. Bellerin won’t be cheap for Pellegrini as he may end up costing between 15-25 million pounds. Arsenal is in pole position and should take full advantage of the form the player has been enjoying.
Mikel Arteta may not be counting on the player as he has his eye set on a major squad overhaul. A move away from the premier league will be best for both parties interests.
