Player of the Match

Picked to make the starting XI, Souvik Chakrabarti justified the decision and putting up a brilliant display. Post-match Chakrabarti: “This is a complete team effort and we all played really well. We are happy with the three points and are looking forward to the next game. As a team, we are progressing game after game. We have 2-3 days rest now ahead of the next match and these three points will give us more energy to go ahead. This win will give us more motivation going into the next game”.

Fielded slightly out of his normal position, Chakrabarti had no issues settling in. He combined well with captain Joao Victor to trouble the Blues’ backline again and again. Working tirelessly, he covered most of the pitch with his runs.
