I-League outfit Mohammedan SC have officially announced the signing of versatile defender Lalramchullova from EastBengal on Saturday. The Mizoram-born footballer has one year left with the EastBengal.

“Chullova comes with a wealth of experience that will be very handy for us. It’s going to be a busy and a tough season for us and while it was important to add depth to the squad. We wanted to be sure about the quality being brought in and Chullova ticks that box. He is someone who will stabilize our defense and strengthen the team.” Mohammedan SC General Secretary Mr. Danish Iqbal.

He came into the limelight at Aizwal FC that won the I-League title under the guidance of Khalid Jamil in 2017. Next season he made a move to the EastBengal with a two-year contract. In 2019 EastBengal investor Quess could not meet his demands. At the situation, Mohun Bagan came forward and signed the defender.

At Mohun Bagan, he won the second I-League title under their then head coach Kibu Vicuna.

Last season he moved back to EastBengal, however, the player suffered an injury during practice and had to miss out on the whole ISL season.

Moreover, his primary focus will be to regain his fitness and form after being on the bench for the whole season and help the Black Panthers win the championship title.

The future of EastBengal is in doubt as to the club and their investor Shree Cements are in a tussle over the signing of the final agreement. Looking at the situation the Lalramchullova moved out of the club and joined Mohammedan SC to secure his future.
