Mohammedan SC signs one of India’s most promising youngster Alen Deory from Indian Super League club Mumbai City FC.
The young attacker played for India’s best Football academies namely Sports Authority of India(SAI) in Guwahati followed by a short stint with Tata Football Academy and AIFF Elite Academy.
The Assamese winger played for Shillong Lajong and North East United in a span of four years before making a move to Mumbai City FC in 2018. The 24-year-old Deory featured in only a single game for the club before leaving the side.
The Black Panthers will be hoping to use him wisely in the upcoming edition of the I-League.
The upcoming I-League season is yet to begin and is scheduled to commence from January in Kolkata. The organizing committee is yet to announce the schedule and further details.
Goa-based Mohammedan SC recently gained promotion to I-League through qualifiers last month. Since then they have been very busy buying new players to make an instant impact in the league.
Avinabo Bag and Arashpreet Singh have already joined Mohammedan to improve their midfield and defence respectively. Star forward Philip Adjah also joined Mohammedan for his second stint with the club this season. With Deory joining Adjah in their forward line, it will be a nightmare for the opponent’s defence to face them.
