As the I-League has just kicked off it’ll be exciting to see the teams fighting for the top spot in the 14th edition of Hero I-league.
Last season the I-League was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the table ended as Mohun Bagan claimed the I-League. Real Kashmir and TRAU ended 4th and 6th on the table respectively.
Last time when TRAU encountered Real Kashmir in I-League 2020 the match ended as a 2-2 draw.
With the departure of the top two teams(Mohun Bagan and East Bengal) of last season, Real Kashmir is the title contender for the upcoming campaign. In the last season, Real Kashmir played 15, won 6, drew 4 and lost 5 matches. They scored 16 goals and conceded 14 goals. Whether TRAU played 17, won 6, drew 4 and lost 7 matches. They scored 17 goals and conceded 27 goals.
Preview of Real Kashmir FC vs TRAU:
The Head coach of TRAU L. Nandakumar singh seems very optimistic about their upcoming season. He said,
“Our target is to go into every match with the aim to win the three points. The boys have all arrived, and they are feeling well. If we finish in the top six positions in the first phase, then we can challenge for the title, we have a very different team and will be the underdogs. But, with most local talents divided between the two of us (clubs), I think we have the best of them and can make that count.”– L Nandkumar
