Willian who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea joined their london rivals Arsenal in 2020. He has now admitted that he was not happy at Arsenal and that was the reason which pulled him back from performing well.
Willian joined Chelsea in 2013 and won the Premier League in his second season. He then again won the league in 2016/17 season. The Brazilian was a key player in the squad and was performing regularly.
Over his spell at West London, Willian played 339 matches for the Blues. He scored 63 goals along with picking 51 assists and helped Chelsea to win 5 trophies. But in 2020, the Brazilian opted to join their london rivals Arsenal.
This move did not go as per the plans foe both Arsenal and Willian. The winger left the club after just one season in which he played 37 matches. He was only able to score once but did pick 7 assists in the process.

Willian has now admitted that he was not happy at North London. He also said that he was eager to leave after just three months. This makes a lot of sense after the Brazilian was seem saying he wished he would have never left Chelsea last year.
“I wasn’t happy (at Arsenal), I wasn’t happy. That’s why I didn’t perform. I don’t want to go into the details. When I arrived there I was happy, from the beginning I was motivated, I wanted to do well – new club, new mates, new project. But after three months, I said to my agent: Please, I want to go” – Willian speaking to Five podcast by Rio Ferdinand.
Willian then said that he does not want to speak bad about Gunners. He added that big players have played there but it did not work for him. He then said that it was the most difficult time of his career.
