Inter Milan denied oppurtunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Fiorentina are not willing to sell Vlahovic to Inter Milan until they receive €60 milion. Inter Milan are staring helplessly into a future where Romelu Lukaku will be at Chelsea. The biggest club in London is ready to bid at least €130 million along with Marcos Alonso to sign their former player. Serie A will kick off next week and the defending champions will be toothless without a prolific striker.

Lukaku was phenomenal for the Nerazzurris last season. In 36 appearances last season he scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists. Along with Lautaro Martiez and Alexis Sanchez, Inter Milan tore apart defenses across Italy. Lukaku’s performances won him the Serie MVP player of the season award. Now that Lukaku is on his way out, Inter want Vlahovic. The Serbian scored 21 and provided 3 assists last season.

The pandemic has taken a toll on the finances of every club. Inter Milan felt that offloading a bunch of players could help them get overcome te deficit. A few players they offloaded includes Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young. The very idea of it caused manager Antonio Conte to resign. Lukaku had previously pledged his support for the club but when €130 million comes, Inter will prefer the money.

Apart from Vlanhovic, Inter have their eyes on Duvan Zapata and Edin Dzeko. €60 million for a 21-year-old is a bit pricy and Inter should negotiate the price to less than €50 million. Otherwise it would be another case of bad business by the Inter board.
