- Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has caught attention on Inter Milan
- A january move can favour both clubs along with the player
Oleksandr Zinchenko joined Arsenal from Man City in 2022. He joined the club with lot of hopes as he had already won 4 Premier League titles with City. His first season at North London was a decent one but second was not that good.
Zinchenko did play 35 matches last season but was not at his best. This resulted in Mikel Arteta often replacing him with Kiwior or Tomiyasu. This season the situation has became even worse for the Ukrainian.
Zinchenko has played only 178 minutes of football across 5 matches. He is no longer first choice left back at the club. In addition, he has fell down to a vast extent in pecking order.
The 27 year old finds him below Calafiori, Timber and even Jakub Kiwior in pecking order. This suggest that he may be open for a move. Arsenal too are open to sell the player and a january move is expected.
Inter Milan linked with Zinchenko
As per Fichajes, Zinchenko will move away from Arsenal in January and Inter Milan are keen to sign him. This deal will be for the best interest of both clubs and Zinchenko can profit from it too.
The 27 year old needs regular football especially at this age. Even if he can’t be a starter, he will surely get more game time than now. Inter Milan can benefit from deal as they can strengthen their defence even further in hunt of Serie A and European title.
Gunners will lose a quality player for sure but they are already packed in that position. Along with Calafiori, Timber and Kiwior, Tomiyasu and Tierney can also feature at that position whenever required.
It seems like Arsenal may be open for both loan move or permanent move. It was eariler reported that Zinchenko is not in Arteta’s plans for future. Hence, Gunners can free up space and make move for their next targets.
