Arsenal are once again hit hard by injury blow in the international break. The club has already seen key players getting injured while playing for their respective countries. This time it is Leandro Trossard who is the latest addition to the long Arsenal injury list.
International breaks have not been nice at all for Gunners this season. Firstly, their captain Martin Odegaard was injured which forced him off the pitch for very long time. Arsenal were not the same without him and struggled a lot on the pitch.
Later it was Bukayo Saka who faced injury while playing for England. Saka missed some key matches in which Gunners dropped important points. Now, this time another one of their key players have suffered an injury.
Arsenal hit hard by injury blow to Leandro Trossard
Trossard has been very important for Mikel Arteta ever since he joined frim Brighton. He has delivered in crucial stages and is labelled as Super-Sub by Arsenal fans. He had a good start to this season as well.
But ever since Odegaard got injured, Arteta started using Trossard as number 10. The Belgian has not been able to fill the void left by club captain. His performances have dipped in the recent months.
Despite, the dip in form Arteta views Trossard as an important player in the squad. There were rumours about Trossard leaving the club at first. But now the news are that Gunners will extend the Belgian’s contract.
Trossard has recently suffered an injury while playing for Belgium. He was forced to leave the pitch in 37th minute against Israel. This will be a very bad news for Mikel Arteta who would have hoped for anything but not another injury.
Before being subbed off, Trossard was looking very good. He had 88% passing accuracy and 100% shooting accuracy. He had 2 passes in final third and 3 accurate long balls. Lastly, he made 1 tackle, 3 recoveries and won 1 duel. Stats as per FOTMOB.
