According to ANI, Abhishek Bachchan appreciate the new decision by ISL. Now with the revised guidelines in the League, more young talented Indian footballers will get a platform to showcase their skills.
Recently, the FSDL have approved the 3+1 rule to be in the ISL from the coming seasons. The new rule in the county’s top-tier league is to increase the participation of domestic players in matches. Previously, ISL allowed only six Indian players to take on the field at a particular time. Now, ISL has mandate clubs to field 7 Indian players during a match.
“This isn’t a surprise; this is something the ISL always intended [to do]. The quest was always to give Indian talent that much opportunity to showcase talent on the pitch. I’m glad this decision has been taken because it pushes us to really encourage Indian lads to get out there and give their best,” – Chennaiyin FC Co-Owner Abhishek Bachchan
