Chennaiyin FC co-owner Abhishek Bachchan praise 3+1 rule in ISL


Chennaiyin FC Co-Owner also a Bollywood actor Mr. Abhishek Bachchan has praised the decision of ISL to field more Indian players on the field.

According to ANI, Abhishek Bachchan appreciate the new decision by ISL. Now with the revised guidelines in the League, more young talented Indian footballers will get a platform to showcase their skills.

Recently, the FSDL have approved the 3+1 rule to be in the ISL from the coming seasons. The new rule in the county’s top-tier league is to increase the participation of domestic players in matches. Previously, ISL allowed only six Indian players to take on the field at a particular time. Now, ISL has mandate clubs to field 7 Indian players during a match.

“This isn’t a surprise; this is something the ISL always intended [to do]. The quest was always to give Indian talent that much opportunity to showcase talent on the pitch. I’m glad this decision has been taken because it pushes us to really encourage Indian lads to get out there and give their best,” – Chennaiyin FC Co-Owner Abhishek Bachchan

Marina Machans stars players Lallianzuala Chhangte and Anirudh Thapa are one of the youngest Indian players of India. The Indian Super League has helped them to a great extent. Meanwhile, they were also part of the Indian National Team that participated in the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup joint Qualifiers in Doha.
