The second-highest division of the English Football League League One teams Swindon Town and MK Downs. Both teams are interested in signing the 33-year-old forward Gary Hooper who currently plays for Kerala Blasters FC.
Hooper started his career in League Grays Athletic in 2003, while there he won 2004-2005 Conference South. He won the FA trophy twice in 2005 and 2006. After this Southend United signed Gary on a free transfer in 2006. Where he got loaned out twice by the club to a League One club Leyton Orient and to a League Two club Hereford United.
In 2008 Gary played for Scunthorpe United for a fee of 175,000. Two years later Hooper signed for Scottish Premier League club Celtic, they signed him for 2.4 million. In his first season with Celtic, he scored 22 goals becoming the top scorer and winning the Scottish Cup 2011.
Gary have scored in the Premier League, League One, League Two, FA Cup, Football League trophy, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup, and Scottish Premier League. Gary is the first and only player to achieve this feat. On top of this Gary have also scored in the Conference National and Conference South.
Gary joined the Blasters in Oct 2020 and have 18 appearances for the team. Gary have score 5 goals and have given 4 assists in the mean time.
Gary Hooper’s future lies away from Kerala Blasters
According to unknown sources, League One clubs MK Dons and the team with recently taken over team Swindon Town. Gary could be a good addition to any of these teams. Gary have played a big role in the Blasters attack in whatever time he have got to play in the Indian Super league.
Kerala Blaster’s fans would definitely miss Gary if he decides to play in League One. But still, nothing have been finalized, fans can only wait and watch.
