NorthEast United in talks with Brandon Vanlalremdika

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

NorthEast United are interested in signing Mizoram’s 27-year-old striker Brandon Vanlalremdika. Brandon is currently playing for Aizawl on loan from SC East Bengal.

Brandon is also linked with two other I-League clubs as well as NorthEast United. It would be interesting to see which side he would opt for.

Brandon is a player who hails from the lands of Mizoram. Brandon could play in both right midfield and left midfield as well. His preferred foot is right and is swift in making runs, he has made 12 appearances and has scored 3 goals and made 1 assist.

NorthEast United the team worth appreciating

on the other hand, NorthEast United had a great spell and ended up finishing 3rd at the table. NorthEast surprised everyone with their exceptional performance. They did a much better performance in comparison to the last year’s ones where they finished 9th. They qualified for the playoffs for only the second time in the entire history.

The highlanders had a rollercoaster kind of journey last season, from giving a bright start and then losing the momentum which ended up with the sacking of Gerrard Nus mid-season. A decision that seemed bizarre and questionable, but worked as a blessing after Khalid Jamil got appointed as the head coach. Khalid took NorthEast on an unbeaten run of 9 matches. which eventually helped them reach the playoffs.

More about Brandon Vanlalremdika

Brandon started his career with Aizawl. He was one of the goal scorers in the I-League 2nd division match that saw Aizawl getting promoted to I-League 1st division when they beat 4-2. Vanlalremdika made his professional debut for Aizawl in the I-League on 9 January 2016 against the reigning champions, Mohun Bagan. He played for 80 minutes before coming off however, Aizawl lost the match by 3-1.

The Highlanders could be the perfect place for Brandon as both Brandon and NorthEast United are originated from the NorthEast. only time would tell how much impact this transfer will have if it took place.
