It’s very unlikely that the Real Madrid star midfielder Luka Modric will appear against Real Valladolid on December 30.
The World Cup is over and Argentina has won it by defeating France in the final. While Croatia had beaten Morocco and secured 3rd position. All the Real Madrid Players from these countries got 9 days rest.

It’s unlikely Modric will make a surprise appearance against Real Valladolid

La Liga is about to resume in a few days. Most of the players have rejoined the training sessions. Only Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurélien Tchouaméni have not joined yet. They need to rest until December 28. Therefore, Real Madrid might get some difficulty in the midfield against Valladolid.

Luka Modric desire to return early

The Croatian midfielder have played all the games in the World Cup and his Nation finished 3rd in the rank. Real Madrid have given nine days off to all three players. However, Modric wants to resume the training early so that he can be featured against Valladolid. The Spanish Journalist Carlos Rodriguez stated that;

“Despite Modrić’s desire, it’s very unlikely he will play vs Valladolid. Real Madrid has given him days off until December 28th. It’s almost impossible he will play against Valladolid.”

The Spanish outlet Diario AS reported that, Carlo Ancelotti will have to decide what to do with Modrić, Tchouaméni and Camavinga. They would play against Valladolid without minimum preparation.

Real Madrid had a fantastic start this season. They lost only one game against Rayo Vallecano in the last week before World Cup. Spanish outlet Relevo confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti was so disappointed with the team’s performance and raised his voice in the dressing room. He asked, what went wrong?
The whole dressing room was silent, Luka Modric broke the silence and responded;

“We have lost all the duels. It ws the first defeat and I hope it will be the last”.
