Kingstar FC qualifies for the Indians Women’s League from Gujarat

Gujarat State Women’s League organized by Gujarat State Football Association(GSFA) which kicked off on February 14th with 10 teams Participating came to a glorious end where Kingstar FC lifted the championships trophy. They also got an invitation to play in the Indian Women’s League.

Riding from the local support, the team from Gandhinagar took the lead as when forward Pratima Mukhija found the net in 20th minute. Patan Fc who have made their name in recent times were not going down without putting on a fight as they equalized the goal tally by scoring in the 35th minute through midfielder Hetal Thakor’s goal and the score remained 1-1 for the first half.

But in the second half Kingstar’s Centre-back scored an early goal at 49th minute which also secured the fate of the match in the favor of Kingstar FC.

Kingstar FC defeated Patan FC in the finals of the Super League stage by 2-1, Patan FC were already being fancied as the representatives of Gujarat in the Indian Women’s League. But Kingstar managed to defeat them at Gandhinagar Stadium.

Kingstar FC were in group 2 where they won 4 out of 4 matches defeating every single team of the group and scored 21 goals conceding only 2, It were a tournament for them to remember. And because of them winning the league Kingstar FC have been invited to play in the Indian Women’s League.
