Jadon Sancho has come under the light where many of his fellow teammates and players have complimented the winger.
The winger was particularly praised for his exceptional performance in Chelsea‘s game against West Ham on matchday 5. Sancho has made his debut in the last game against Bournemouth. The player’s ability to open up the area for his teammates helped secure the victory against Bournemouth.
The Blues were under serious pressure in the game against Bournemouth. Sancho was subbed in after halftime his fluidity in the game opened a chance which was finished by Christopher Nkunku. As per Squawka Jadon made 17 passes in the defensive third and won possession four times.
In the game against the Hammers, Sancho started for the Blues. The winger had a hand in scoring the opener for Enzo Maresca’s side. The west ham defence opened up in the 4th minute which helped Sancho assist Nicolas Jackson and open the scoring.
Chelsea acquired Jadon on the last day of the summer transfer window. The English winger was facing a hard time with Manchester United. Sancho had issues with the manager Ten Hag and was also not given much game time. Jadon moved from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge on loan with the deal standing at 25 million euros.
The debut for the winger has been a dream start. He was very important in Chelsea’s victory against Bournemouth and played a crucial hand against West Ham. This performance has helped him gather praise from his current and former teammates.
New teammates compliment Sancho
There were many fans and players that doubted Sancho’s ability. Many had questions about how he performed with the Blues after his underwhelming contributions with the Red Devils.
After his debut with Chelsea, much of this criticism turned into praise. Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo also came forward to appreciate the youngster. Tosin stated that Sancho could prove to be the missing piece that the Blues have been lacking. The 24-year-old put up a defensive performance helping the team.
Adarabioyo is also confident that Jadon could permanently move to Stamford Bridge. After a difficult time with Manchester United Chelsea could grant him a new pedestal.
Sancho assisted Nicholas Jackson in scoring the opener against West Ham. Jadon had the full support of the Chelsea fans after the Blues were dominating the game. Adarabioyo also said that the youngster is very mature for his age and the team is lucky to have him. he said-
” He’s a top player, he always has been. You see that when he is on the ball and working. We are lucky to have him.”
It looks like that Jadon has found his place in the team with supportive teammates. After the West Ham game, Sancho received praise not just from his teammates but also from some legends and former teammates.
Young talent appreciated by legends and former teammates
After a miserable time with Manchester United Sancho was heavily criticised for his skills. The criticism has faded as the start of the loan spell from Manchester United to Chelsea has been very good for the winger.
There have been millions of praises for the winger including the fans and football legends like Paul Pogba. Paul also spent a brief time with Sancho at Old Trafford in the 2021-2022 season.
The French international has played with Sancho and also knows the youngster’s potential. The duo played together for Manchester United under the management of Ralf Ragnick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
After a terrific spell for the Blues against the Hammers Jadon posted a photo on Instagram. He posted a photo of him and Nicolas Jackson celebrating. A caption was added saying “Solid performance from the boys, have a great weekend Blues”.
Paul Pogba added a short and sweet comment, he simply wrote “him”. Former Manchester United player Mason Greenwood also commented with clapping emojis. There were appreciations from his ex-club’s teammates too as Gregor Kobel and Jamie Bynoes-Gittens added their congratulations.
Chelsea will now face Barrow in the EFL Cup on 25th September.
