Jamie Carragher shares his Ollie Watkins thoughts

Jamie Carragher shares his thoughts about Ollie Watkins to Arsenal in the summer transfer window situation.

Rejected by Aston Villa:

Aston Villa already rejected Arsenal’s bid to sign Ollie Watkins. It is now said that Arsenal are going to do their level best to sign Ollie Watkins as well as Martin Zubimendi in the summer transfer window right now. The Gunners are great right now. However, they are failing to win the Premier League every single season. They are either missing a good striker or something or the other. This is why Mikel Arteta will do whatever he can to sign fresh pair of legs in order to make sure to improve the squad right now. Arsenal squad really needs a change. Especially in their attacking. Kai Havertz maybe good but he is not consistent at all.

Jamie Carragher shares thoughts about Arsenal pursuing Ollie Watkins:

According to Jamie Carragher, Arsenal did not really offer enough money to Aston Villa to sign Ollie Watkins. Ollie Watkins was very much looking forward to signing for Arsenal. However, Aston Villa only sold Jhon Duran. Aston Villa did not really reach and agreement with Arsenal to actually let go of Ollie Watkins. Jhon Duran was sold to Al Nasr for  £65 million. Marcus Rashford also joined Aston Villa in a loan deal too. It is said that Aston Villa are going to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window. Marcus Rashford will not really return to Manchester United. Jami Carragher also says how Arsenal were not really phoning around that they want to sign Ollie Watkins. They did not pay enough money to sign Ollie Watkins.

Author’s Opinion:

I think Arsenal can sign Ollie Watkins this season at least. With the arrival of Marcus Rashford, it is the opportunity of Ollie Watkins to leave Arsenal right now.
