Jamshedpur FC notched up another win with a 3-2 victory in a tough match against an erratic NorthEast United side. The GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim witnessed the two teams play a game that kept the audience at the edge of their seats on Thursday evening.
The game flowed smoothly as either side looked to get the better of the other. However, it took just 5 minutes for Deshorn Brown to break the deadlock. A perfectly-timed run from the Jamaican allowed him to leave Peter Hartley behind to bag the game’s first goal. However, NorthEast United did get a little complacent, affording Jamshedpur room to hit back.
Just before the break, Jordan Murray levelled for the Men of Steel. After that, they stepped on the gas and eventually got their noses in front through Boris Singh. Just as Jamshedpur looked to have it in the bag, Deshorn Brown struck once more to put NorthEast back into the contest.
The Men of Steel keep their cool and were successful in snatching all 3 points in a see-saw game. Ishan Pandita played the saviour and swooped off the bench to smash home the winner at point-blank range in stoppage time. The win allows Jamshedpur FC claw back inside the top 4 and also puts them level on points with leader Hyderabad FC.

Player of the Match
With a superb cameo off the bench, Ishan Pandita deservedly claimed the Hero of the Match award. Leaving it late, he struck in stoppage time to dash NorthEast United’s hopes of a point. Indeed, Pandita has rightly been called Jamshedpur’s super-sub.
