Jose Mourinho to become the next Celtic manager?

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Jose Mourinho has been reportedly approached by Celtic after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur. The ‘Special One’ would be eager to find a new club after a disastrous campaign at the Premier League club.

The Scottish club also sacked their coach Neil Lennon after their arch-rivals, Rangers managed by Steven Gerrard, won the Scottish Premiership. However, currently, Eddie Howe is the frontrunner for the job.

Mourinho has been one of the most expensive managers in the world of football and his future hiring club might have to seriously consider his sacking fee too. He might be the perfect manager to end the scintillating form of arch rivals.

Celtic to replenish their title hopes by signing Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham six days before the Carabao Cup Final showdown against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

“No plans to speak, you know me, you know that I’m not going to say anything. No need for a break. I’m always in football.” – Jose Mourinho.

According to Duncan Castles, Mourinho has been first contacted by Celtic following his sack. The Glasgow side are keen on rebuilding their squad and challenging for the next season’s Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.

The Celts were also knocked out by Rangers recently in the Round 4 of the Scottish Cup and it has been a really frustrating season for the club.

Currently, clubs like Italian heavyweights AS Roma and Spanish giants Valencia are also considering the appointment of Mourinho as their new manager. Both the clubs are looking for a rebuild.
