Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is turning the heads of football fans with his incredible performances. The 18-year-old have now broken a record held by French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Bellingham broke the record held by Mbappe during Dortmund’s Champions League match against Besiktas. By scoring the first goal in the match, the England international became the youngest player to score in two consecutive Champions League match.
Dortmund won their first match in the Champions League campaign 2-1 against Besiktas. Bellingham was vital, scoring the first and assisting for the second. Mbappe on the other hand had to be content with a 1-1 draw against Club Brugge in the opening match for his side PSG.
BELLINGHAM BREAKS MBAPPE RECORD
With each match, Bellingham is showing the world why he is one of the best young players out there. The 18-year-old is extremely good with the ball and is already showing maturity beyond his age in his football.
He has made a blistering start to this season as well by scoring 2 and assisting 4 already. Breaking Mbappe’s record becomes even more impressive considering the position both players are in. While Mbappe is playing as a centre-forward but is also excellent at playing in the wings. Bellingham on the other hand is a central midfielder who likes to make late runs.
This excellence in his game has surely attracted interest from multiple clubs. Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all said to be monitoring Bellingham. However, the player is currently happy at Dortmund and has a contract with them till 2025. This means that any club looking to sign him will have to pay huge sums to Dortmund.
