Juventus handed with a transfer boost as Mauro Icardi could be available on loan from PSG. The Old lady recently faced a major setback in the form of Federico Chiesa’s season-ending injury. The Old Lady are reportedly in line to sign a new Striker later this month.

Before Federico Chiesa’s injury, there were rumors that Alvaro Morata could be on his way to FC Barcelona. Speculations regarding Xavi’s desire to sign Morata began to erupt by the end of December 2021. However, after Barca signed Ferran Torres, Morata is more likely to stay at the Allianz Stadium. If Morata leaves the club this month, Juventus will look for a replacement and Mauro Icardi is on top of their list.

The Serie A giants had a shaky start to the season under Max Allegri but they are slowly finding their form back. They are climbing upwards in the Serie A points table and they will hope to claim the Scudetto this season. With only over a week left in the winter transfer window, Allegri will look to bring another option in his front line. Things might take a different turn during the endings days of the transfer window.

Juventus can pull off a deadline day signing after receiving green lights for Mauro Icardi and Gianluca Scamacca

Allegri’s side are 11 points away from the defending champions Inter Milan who are sitting at the top. They still have a long season ahead and the Juventus hierarchy are now planning to bring Mauro Icardi or Gianluca Scamacca. The 36-times Scudetto winners were also linked with a move for Dusan Vlahovic.

Meanwhile, Icardi is not getting enough game time in a star-studded PSG squad. He has to compete against the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar to break into the playing 11. According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Paris Saint-Germain are open to listening to offers for the former Inter man. The Argentinian is also seeking a move away from Parc des Princes due to less game time.

On the other hand, Juventus have been following his development and are longtime admirer of Icardi. However, due to their financial restrictions, they will only look to bring him on loan until the end of this season without an option to buy. Meanwhile, PSG were initially against the idea of loaning out the 28-year-old but reports are suggesting that they are now ready to listen to Loan offers for Mauro Icardi. Things will gain more clarity with less than two weeks remaining for the transfer market’s closure.
