Juventus are interested in signing former Manchester United forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Mkhitaryan joined Roma from United in 2019 on an initial loan deal however the move became permanent in 2020, the 32-year-old since then has made over 52 appearances for the Italian giants where he has registered 19 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for them.
The form he has been showing this season has impressed a lot of clubs particularly Juventus who are ready to enquire about the star’s availability in the summer.
Juventus are eager to land the Mkhitaryan?
According to Daily Mail Juventus have expressed their interest in signing Mkhitaryan.
Juventus who are 3rd in Serie A, have a squad filled with superstars and talented individuals however they are lacking the presence of a creative midfielder who can link up the attack and the midfield effectively.
As a team, they feel they are not being able to score many goals in a match as they lack a player who can create a lot of goal scoring opportunities.
Therefore they are keeping an eye on Mkhitaryan as he could fill the potential void that exists in the squad.
A transfer to Juventus could be on the cards as the player’s contract expires in June 2021. With there being no agreement on the terms of the contract extension it looks like the deal will run out by June as there is no scope of the player’s contract being extended so far.
Therefore Juventus would be able to snap up the player for free as a move away from Roma could happen soon depending upon the player’s situation in the club.
