Juventus is willing to lower their asking price for Arthur in order to complete the transfer

Juventus has struggled to offload some fringe players from their squad over the last couple of seasons. Arthur is one such player that Bianconeri wants to get rid of. The Brazilian midfielder was signed from Barcelona in a cash plus player deal involving Miralem Pjanic.

The Brazilian was a promising young player at Barcelona who Juventus thought could blossom into one of the best players. The Old Lady paid a huge sum for the midfielder and also let go of their Bosnian maestro. The deal has not worked out for the clubs since then as the player has struggled to adapt at Juventus.

Juventus has tried to offload Arthur before as well, however, no club was interested in him. However, this summer, Juventus got lucky when Liverpool offered them a loan deal for the player out of desperation. The Reds needed a midfielder to have adequate cover for an injury crisis which helped Juventus essentially. The loan deal was finalized towards the end of the summer transfer window.

Juventus and Liverpool have an agreed price in the loan deal for the permanent transfer of Arthur

The loan deal for the Brazilian midfielder also includes an agreed price in case the English team wants to make the transfer permanent. However, Liverpool have not used Arthur a lot in the first part of the season due to issues with fitness and adaptation.

However, according to recent reports, the Brazilian is keen to succeed at Liverpool. The midfielder has also hired a personal trainer and fitness coach to help him get up to speed. Liverpool might be tempted to sign the midfielder permanently if he performs well in the remainder of the season for Jurgen Klopp.

Juventus have recently expressed a willingness to lower their asking price and the amount agreed in the contract to entice Liverpool further. The Bianconeri are open to accepting lesser than what was decided in the summer negotiations and want to offload the player desperately.

However, this desperation could prove counter-productive as this could push Liverpool to negotiate a much lower price as well. Plus there is no guarantee that the Reds will want to make the move permanent. Although, it seems that Arthur is just a temporary option for Liverpool and their permanent target will be Jude Bellingham. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if Arthur is able to succeed and rejuvenate his career!!
