Man United are desperate to sign a Premier League attacker this summer. They are very heavily linked with him and intend to complete the deal soon. But, they are now joined by Juventus in the race.
Ruben Amorim is keen to make many changes in United’s squad this summer. The board are ready to back him due to a tough season. As of now, many current players from all areas are linked with exit. This will help to open up space, raise funds and comply with PSR.
As of attacking department, United are keen to sign a new striker and wide forward. They are ready to sell both strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. In addition, all Sancho, Antony and Rashford are said to leave permanently. Lastly, Garnacho will also get sold.
United have Wolves forward Matheus Cunha as the top target up front. They are impressed with the Brazilian’s form this summer. Cunha will be available for £62.5 million and the Red Devils are ready to pay that price. But, they are now facing competition from Italian giants.
Juventus join the race for Matheus Cunha
According to Calcio Mercato, Juventus are planning to go after Matheus Cunha this summer. The Old Lady are keen to sign Rasmus Hojlund but if that deal fails, they will turn their attention to Cunha. However, the Red Devils are confident about signing the Brazilian ahead of everyone else.
Cunha has made it clear that he will leave Wolves this summer. He signed a new contract in January and hence Wolves are in strong position when it comes to negotiations. They will demand his £62.5 million release clause to be paid fully. He has scored 17 goals and picked 6 assists this season and hence will be a great addition to United. It will be interesting to see if United are able to sign him in coming days.
