Juventus keen on signing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus

Juventus have named Gabriel Jesus as their top priority this window. The Brazilian has been at Manchester City since 2017. He has been a part of many of Pep Guardiola’s changing tactics. However, as the years have gone by, he has slid down the pecking order.

Jesus made 42 appearances for Manchester City scoring 11 times and giving 4 assists. Ever since his debut in 2017, he has scored 82 times and created 34 others in 195 appearances. In those terms, last season was a major let-down. Pep has plans to buy a new striker this summer. This could only mean lesser game-time for the pacey forward.

Juventus are staring at a possible Ronaldo transfer. The 5 time Ballon d’or winner has been linked to many clubs such as PSG and Manchester United. Juventus are open to it provided they get a world-class player in return. Alvaro Morata has extended his stay at his former club which means even if Jesus plans to stay, he will have competition.

Juventus want Jesus

Juventus are ready to go all out to convince the Brazilian. He is fast, nimble-footed, good with his head and has a powerful strike. Every attribute to succeed in the Serie A. Players from the Premier League have a smooth time at Serie A as the games are not that fast-paced.

Situation at City

Sergio Aguero has left for FC Barcelona and Sterling too might be on the move if Harry Kane comes to the Etihad. Pep wants to sign Jack Grealish as well as Harry Kane but the board believe that they have the finances only for one.

Last season, Pep played with a false 9 to cope up with the injuries the club was facing. It showed his true skills as a genius tactician. Jesus might be on his way to Juventus if Pep can’t convince him to stay.
