Juventus offer their star forward to PSG

juventus psg, Football Express

Juventus have reportedly offered their star Argentine forward Paulo Dybala to the Ligue 1 champion PSG. However, Les Persians have rejected the offer.

Dybala has helped the Bianconeri to lift the ninth Scudetto in 2019-2020 and he became the player of the season last term. But, at the start of the season, he contracted coronavirus and throughout the season he suffered few injuries as well which led to his first-team appearances very minimal this season.

The Argentine forward made only 18 appearances with 12 starts in Serie A this season for the Bianconeri. He scored three goals and assisted twice in the process.

The Bianconeri bought the 27-year-old forward for €40 million in July 2015 from Palermo. He considered as one of the best in the world but a disastrous 2020-2021 campaign forced Juventus to offload his huge wage bill off the book as his contract will end in June 2022.

Will Juventus sell Dybala to PSG?

According to reports, Juventus have offered Paulo Dybala to PSG and Mauricio Pochettino’s team is not interested in the Argentine whose contract will expire in 2022.

The reason behind the rejection of PSG for the Juventus star even though the Persians like to bring superstars to the club. They have recently extended his relationship with Angel Di Maria. Who is also left-footed like Dybala. The fear is that the two on the field could step on their toes, and for this reason, the PSG said no to this deal.

After having an awful season with the Old Lady of Turin, the Argentine international and Bianconeri are nowhere near reaching an agreement about a contract renewal. As the two parties are yet to agree on a figure.

Therefore, Juventus management are eager to offload their star this summer before risking him losing for free in the summer of 2022. It is almost certain that Juventus will sell the Argentine international in the summer to fund the transfer budget.

Meanwhile, If Andrea Pirlo’s side failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next, then that would cause a huge financial loss during this pandemic. And in that case, they might have to sell a few other stars as well.
