Juventus plotting January move for 23 year old Chelsea star

Juventus are plotting a January move for Benoit Badiashile. Badiashile is struggling for regular game time at Chelsea right now and hence maybe available in winter window.

Badiashile joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Monaco. He then played 11 matches in half 2022/23 season before playing 22 in his first full season. The defender is still very young and was seen as a bright future. But he has failed to impress so far.

The Frenchman has now fallen down the pecking order. He is used only for cup matches and is far away from being a regular first choice defender. Badiashile has played only 37 minutes in Premier League this season.

The Blues are lacking in defence and hence move for defender is expected in January. But they will have to part ways with some of their exisiting stars. As of now, Badiashile and Disasi look to be on the chopping list. Now, Badiashile has been linked with a move to Italy.

Juventus plotting a winter move for Badiashile

As per La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Badiashile is one of the several Premier League defender looked upon by Juventus. The Serie A giants are in a desperate need to sign a defender in January to save the current season.

Juve star Gleison Bremer suffered ACL injury in October and hence will be out for long. The same injury has been suffered by another Juve defender Juan Cabal. This has made the Italian club very weak in defence.

Hence, we can expect Juventus surely signing atleast one centre back in January. But it will be on loan as they are looking for a temporary solution. Along with Chelsea star, Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal is also on the radar of Juventus.

The Blues said earlier that they still view Badiashile as a key player. But, it seems like they will part ways if a suitable transfer fee is paid. As of now, a january move will depend highly on what Chelsea think of a loan move.
