Juventus play Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night in the final match of the group stage of the Champions League. Both teams have qualified for the knockouts after breezing through the Group G games. It will be interesting to see how Juventus line-up against Barcelona on Tuesday night.
Juventus’ only away win at Camp Nou came way back in April 2003. Also, they have not scored against Barcelona in the Champions League for a staggering 395 minutes.
Juventus Line-up against Barcelona:
Ronaldo will surely be part of the game after missing the first leg of this tie. The Ronaldo-Messi reunion will be something the whole world would be looking forward to.
Alvaro Morata could start as well after missing out on Juve’s 2-1 victory over Torino in the Serie A after receiving a red card against Benevento. The Spanish international leads the top scorers chart along with Marcus Rashford and Erling Haaland. All three of them have 6 goals from 5 matches.
Juventus can look forward to exploiting a much depleted Barca defence which will be without the services of Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto.
Goalkeeper : Wojciech Szczęsny
Defenders : Merih Demiral, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt
Midfielders : Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie, Aaron Ramsey, Arthur Melo, Alex Sandro
Forwards : Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata
Look out for Juventus:
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 750th goal against Dynamo Kyiv last week and will be keen on adding more. His current goal scoring form could help Juve score some goals and break their duck against Barcelona.
Barcelona lost their league match against newly promoted Cadiz and will be looking to get that off their back. They have a superior goal difference of +14 while Juventus have +7. This means that Juventus would have to score more than seven goals to top the table which seems highly unlikely.
Both teams have nothing to lose and will look to finish the group stages on a high note before setting their focus on the knockouts.
