Juventus are reportedly ready to sell their midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, in this summer transfer window.
Bianconeri brought the Welshman to Turin in July 2019 for free. However, the deal hasn’t panned out quite as well as they hoped for. The 30-year-old midfielder struggled with injuries and fitness issues throughout his time in Serie A that hindered the consecutive playing time to settle down.
Meanwhile, Ramsey made 65 appearances in all competitions for the Old Lady of Turin over the two seasons and scored five goals in this time. Albeit that the midfielder made the majority of those appearances off the bench, starting games is hard to come by for him.
Juventus are looking for a rebuild next season. And the Bianconeri board reappointed Massimiliano Allegri after sacking Andrea Pirlo to re-establish themselves as the Champion of Italy. The Turin based club will be trying to sell players so that they can fund the transfer budget to bring new faces for next season.
Can Juventus sell Ramsey this summer?
According to Calciomercato, following a bad season from Juventus, the midfield area is the most questionable of them all and the Bianconeri are risking by putting all the midfielders in the transfer market including Aaron Ramsey.
The midfielder is now open to return to England and play in the Premier League. The former club Arsenal was mentioned as a potential destination. But, it is very unlikely that the Gunners will bring back the 30-year-old midfielder to Emirates Stadium by paying transfer fees, having allowed Ramsey to leave the club for free.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what will be the next destination for the Welshman. As Ramsay still has a contract with Juventus until June 2023. However, the Bianconeri are desperate to sell him this summer.
Juventus might ask around €10 million transfer fee for Ramsey and it is hard to believe that any top-six Premier League clubs will approach to buy him at this stage of his career by keeping in mind the horrible injury propensity he got.
So, Ramsey will have to be wise, unlike the previous time before choosing his next destination as this will be his final big move before reaching the end of his career.
