Juventus want Hansi Flick to replace failing Andrea Pirlo

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Juventus are reportedly interested in bringing the departing Bayern Munich manager Hans Flick as the successor of club legend Andrea Pirlo for the next season.

Hansi Flick announced his departure from the manager of German giants following the disappointing result in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Where the tie finished 3-3 on aggregate, however, PSG went through on away goal rule.

Following the announcement, reports are suggesting that he is the favourite to become the next German National Team coach. After the current manager, Joachim Low announced he will step down after the 2021 UEFA Euro Cup.

The current manager of Juventus Andrea Pirlo didn’t have any experience of managing a professional football team. Pirlo failed to get past the UEFA Champions League round of 16 and win the Serie A title for the 37th time. They are now in the battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Can Juventus land Hansi Flick at Allianz Stadium?

The Bianconeri are planning to rebuild their squad from next season. Juventus have decided to sell a few underperforming stars in the next season, And Hansi Flick will definitely be a great addition to step forward in next season.

However, the appointment of Flick can be a wrong choice for Juventus. As Flick likes to play high-intensity pressing attacking football. But, current the Bianconeri players are unaccustomed to this style of play. They are more accustomed to pragmatic possession-based football.

It won’t be an easy task for the Bianconeri to land Flick in Turin. The North London giant Tottenham Hotspur who just sacked Jose Mourinho are also looking for a new manager and the 56-year-old is one of the targets for them.

Flick was the assistant coach for Germany on 23 August 2006. On 1 July 2019, he joined Bayern Munich as an assistant coach, under the management of Niko Kovač. When Kovač left Bayern by mutual consent on 3 November 2019, Flick started as an interim manager position.

After a satisfying spell as interim coach, Bayern announced on 22 December 2019 that Flick will remain manager until the end of the season. In April 2020, Bayern Munich gave Flick a new contract lasting until 2023. And the rest is history, he is one of the few managers who led The Bavarian to a treble victory.
