Serie A is underway. While Lazio is playing brilliantly, Juventus is having a rough patch. They are not able to perform as well they as would have liked to. Thus, to put their rail back on track and to salvage their campaign this season, Bianconeri is eyeing to buy the Serbian player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Lazio does not want to sell its star player to Juventus
The Serbian midfielder joined Lazio in 2015. He has been fantastic for the I Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues). It is to be seen how much La Vecchia Signora (The Old Lady) is willing to cough up for the Serbian.
The news reports coming from Italy expect Juventus ready to pay €50 million. However, Le Aquile (The Eagles) and Milinkovic-Savic will be willing to part ways only if any club is ready to pay anything above €60 million.
Milinkovic-Savic is comfortable at Stadio Olimpico
Meanwhile, Milinkovic-Savic is having a fun time at the Italian club Lazio. This year in Serie A, he has scored three goals. He was also instrumental in seven assists.
His contract with Lazio is going to expire in 2024. Before that Lazio have to sign a deal with its Serbian midfielder or be ready to sell their player to any club that the player wishes to join.
Currently, the Lazio club is being managed by the much-decorated Italian manager Maurizio Sarri. He has been instrumental in the rise of the Italian club.
In the Europa League, Lazio will be playing Austrian club SK Strum Graz next. While in Serie A, Lazio will be taking on Udinese this weekend.
On the other hand, Juventus will take on Torino this weekend followed by Empoli in the Serie A League later this month. In the UEFA Champions League, I Bianconeri will play against Portuguese club Benfica later this month.
