Juventus youngster Frabotta joins Hellas Verona on loan

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

After weeks of speculation and rumours, young Juventus left-back, Gianluca Frabotta, is finally on the move. He will join Serie A side, Hellas Verona, on a season long loan.

Juventus has confirmed the transfer to Hellas Verona officially on their website. Frabotta was one of the youngsters used by former boss Andre Pirlo at the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign.

Alex Sandro is the preferred left-back option for Juventus, while Luca Pellegrini is returning back to Turin after his loan spell. This lack of game time prompted Frabotta to move to Hellas Verona.

FRABOTTA TO PLAY FOR HELLAS VERONA NEXT SEASON

The official transfer of Frabotta comes after a lot of rumours. The interest initially came from Genoa and later Atalanta. However, Atalanta signed 23-year-old left-back Giuseppe Pezzella.

Genoa thought that they were running a lone race before fate had other plans. Hellas Verona acted swiftly and secured the service of Frabotta for this season. The Italian featured 15 times for Juventus in the Serie A last season. He also scored a goal in the Coppa Italia match against SPAL.

Juventus will be hoping that Frabotta furthers his development with Hellas Verona. Moreover, it is a good move as the player will get more playing time at the top level. Frabotta has won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup. He has also played for the Old Lady in the Champions League.
