Kimpembe stays at PSG despite Chelsea’s interest

Camavinga

Presnel Kimpembe has been on the shortlist of many top clubs in Europe. The Frenchman’s future in the capital is not known at this moment. Boss Galtier has made it clear his need to have a good ball-playing Centre Backs. Kimpembe has come under heavy criticism after his side crashed out against Real Madrid in the Champions League. The French defender has been an important part of PSG since the last few seasons.

Chelsea are one of the clubs that have expressed massive interest in Kimpembe. Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the 27-year-old having managed him at PSG. Chelsea lost two of their main centre backs in this transfer window. The blues have signed Koulibaly but Tuchel knows it is not enough. The boss has admitted that his side is not good enough to compete for titles.

But if reports are to be believed, then Kimpembe has snubbed Chelsea to stay in Paris only. The CB has turned down Chelsea’s approach and feels that he has more to offer at PSG. Nordi Mukiele has been signed by PSG, which will surely put Kimpembe on high alert. The Frenchman will be hoping to put top performances to impress the new boss and keep his starting spot.

Chelsea’s Frustrating Transfer Window

In the summer when they lost out to their 2 main central defenders, Chelsea were always going to explore the market. The Blues were after a certain amount of players and were very close to signing them. It was until Barcelona jumped into the scene and were successful in signing every one of Chelsea’s targets.

Ousmane Dembele is rumored to be at Chelsea, renewed with Barcelona. Brazilian Raphinha also chose the Catalans over Chelsea. Polish Forward Lewandowski did not even listen to offers from any other club except Barcelona. Jules Kounde had agreed to personal terms agreed with Chelsea until Barcelona hijacked his signing. It really has been a frustrating summer for Chelsea, who have just been left in the mud by the Blaugranas.
