La Liga President Javier Tebas Rules Out Salah transfer

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Javier Tebas had ruled out the transfer of Liverpool player, Mohamed Salah to the Spanish League. The 28-year-old Egyptian forward joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2018 for a transfer fee of around  £36.9million. And since then, he has been the key player for all the silverware he won at the Merseyside club.

The current La Liga president is not considering such a big-money+ deal to either one of the Spanish heavyweights – FC Barcelona or Real Madrid. However, the latter won’t be hesitating to bring Salah to the Spanish capital.

Salah is currently the top scorer this season in the Premier League but, he is frustrated about his current team’s form. Liverpool recently got back to winning ways after a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Tebas feels the Mo Salah transfer looks “unlikely”

Mohamed Salah had been a star for his current club and his country carrying them to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He has scored 119 goals in 191 appearances for Liverpool. He won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup with the Reds.

However, currently, Liverpool are struggling to defend their PL title and are currently out of the top-4 race. To make matters even worse, they have lost 6 home matches in a row. This shocking display has led to speculations of Salah being dissatisfied with the club.

He said in an interview: “Who knows what will happen in the future.” However, this sparked and lead to many rumors about him leaving the Reds and maybe a transfer to Spain.

Anyways, Tebas is excited about him joining the Spanish sides but is not expecting a deal in this summer transfer window. However, he believes that there is not a lot of difference between the La Liga and Premier League.

“We are at the same level as the Premier League. The difference is the audience, they have a bigger audience in Europe. We have our huge base in the Middle and the Far East. An arrival of Mohamed Salah in La Liga? With the current financial situation, it is very unlikely that Liverpool will sell Mohamed Salah or that a club will sign a big name this summer.”La Liga President Javier Tebas.

The Reds need a revival and face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday in the Premier League.
