La Liga talent is included in the preliminary Brazil squad for World Cup

La Liga will come to a standstill next week as the World Cup is set to start in about two weeks. All the National team coaches are planning for the biggest sporting event in the World. Brazil’s preliminary 55-man squad for the World Cup consisted of the usual stars. But among the few surprises was Real Betis’s youngster Luis Henrique.

Luis Henrique is a left-footed right winger. He was only this summer by the Andalusian side Real Betis from Fluminense. The Rio de Janeiro native, 21, born in Petropolis, came to Fluminense when he was only eleven. He debuted for the first team in 2020 when he was substituted into the against Palmeiras. He agreed to a deal with the team that year until 2025. In 93 appearances for Fluminense, he has contributed ten goals and ten assists.

Real Betis signed him for only thirteen million euros. Fluminense dire financial situation for them to part ways with the exciting talent.

In La Liga, Henrique has been a breadth of fresh air for Betis. The youngster has been involved in one assist in the eleven games he has participated in. but stats are the last thing to resort to in the case of Luis. His dynamic runs and hold-up play have enabled Pellegrini’s side to play an exciting brand of football.

As the World Cup approaches, all leagues will reach a standstill this week. Brazil has already released its preliminary list of players. Out of the players, Neymar, Vinicius, Casemiro, Thiago Silva, and Raphinha are the usual stars and make a list. However, the list also consists of players that are possibilities for Tite to include in the final 26-man list.

Luis Henrique’s inclusion rewards the development of the player. Tite is keeping an eye on his growth as a player in the future.
