The 21-year-old striker joins I-League side Sudeva Delhi on loan from Hyderabad FC. Sudeva Delhi is known for fielding an all-Indian side so, Ralte will get a lot of game time there.
Ralte can really develop his skills there, as this would be a huge opportunity for him. Lalawmpuia have only played 30 minutes in the previous season of the Indian Super League.
Lalawmpuia is one of India’s top young prospects so these years would be very crucial for him. He has had a fantastic pre-season under Manolo Marquez last year.
Lalawmpuia’s big step
Ralte joined Hyderabad FC from FC Goa on a three-year deal. He also took part in the 2020-21 ISL season with Hyderabad but made only 2 appearances for the team. This lack of game time was a crucial concern for both Ralte and the club.
It was important for the Mizoram born to gain some experience from the leagues of the nation. But, with strikers and forwards like Sandaza and Narzary, Ralte was barely getting any chance. So, Sudeva Delhi which is a top team in I-League could be a suitable choice for him.
However, Sudeva has struggled in their last season of I-League finishing 8th in the league. Delhi managed to win only 2 games out of 10 and have drawn 3 matches. So, they are also in desperate need of someone who can earn them points and be decisive in important games. Now, it’s up to Ralte if he could play as the flag bearer of Sudeva and earn a permanent place in their starting line-up for the next two years.
It would be important for his future too, as Hyderbad FC will also keep their eyes on Ralte’s performance in the I-League. Hyderabad have announced this news through their Twitter also, and has wished him the best for his upcoming season.
