Leandro Paredes has completed a transfer to Juventus

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Juventus has been looking to sign Leandro Paredes to bolster their squad this summer. Despite signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer, the club believes another midfielder needs to be added. The Old Lady also sold Rodrigo Bentancur earlier this summer which has left a void in the midfield.

The Italian giants want to add some creativity and technical ability in the midfield. Paul Pogba and Leandro Paredes will make a good pair in the midfield together as the Argentine will afford the Frenchman freedom to roam forward.

However, the team still looks short of a proper defensive midfielder. The club has not adequately replaced Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira after their departures. Leandro Paredes was looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain primarily due to the limited playing time afforded to him.

Juventus has signed Leandro Paredes on an initial loan deal

Paris Saint-Germain wants to overhaul their midfield this summer. The French champions have already signed Renato Sanches and Vitinha this summer from Lille. However, the Parisians are also behind the Spanish duo of Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler.

Marco Verratti has been a mainstay in the midfield for Paris Saint-Germain. However, players around him have not settled in well. The club has let go Wijnaldum, Gueye, Herrera and Paredes this summer. This indicates that the French club wanted to overhaul the midfield completely.

Leandro Paredes has been sent on an initial loan deal to Juventus. However, the club has a buy option for the Argentina international. If the Argentina international is able to settle in at Allianz Stadium then Juventus can be expected to trigger the buy clause. It is a good signing for Juventus against the backdrop of a poor performance last season.

Nevertheless, it is a fresh start for the midfield maestro and Leandro Paredes will hope to make the most of it. Especially with the FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place later this year!!
