Liverpool and Arsenal are in in talks with Real Madrid about the potential summer transfer of Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes.
Arsenal And Liverpool Interested In Rodrygo Amid Madrid Exit Rumors
As per reports, Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid is now up in the air. As reported by TBR Football, the 24-year-old forward is generating real interest from Arsenal and Liverpool. In addition, Manchester City are also keeping tabs on him.
The Brazilian is currently not at his best this season. But, he still has a great 25 goal involvements (18 goals and 7 assists) in all competitions so far this campaign. He is a left-winger but can play anywhere in the front. Although, that level of versatility may not be enough for starting games at Madrid.
Real’s attacking depth is growing with stars. Now, this could be the perfect time for Rodrygo to consider a move where he can take center stage.
Ideal Fit for Arsenal or Liverpool’s Attack
Both the Reds and the Gunners will benefit from a player like Rodrygo. For the Reds, he could replace the inconsistent Darwin Nunez up front. Also, he can step in on the left if Luis Diaz leaves this summer. His speed, technique, and finishing would certainly provide Arne Slot with a sharper cutting edge in the final third.
Mikel Arteta, meanwhile, is fighting for silverware and could do with a more clinical option in front of goal. The winger could easily improve on the output of Kai Havertz or Gabriel Jesus.
With him being one of Real’s most underrated talents, letting him go could be a move Los Blancos regret. As the summer window nears, it’ll be interesting to see whether either English club makes a serious move. Although, Real can still fight to keep hold of their Brazilian gem.
