Since Keita signed for Liverpool, he has failed to show the top form that he had for his previous club. While he failed to be a regular starter for the reds as Georginio Wijnaldum held the spot. To date, Keita has appeared 80 times for Liverpool, scoring 7 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.

However, despite Keita’s descending form, Liverpool are considering him as part of the future, as they consider extending his contract.
