Trent Alexander-Arnold is leaving Liverpool this summer

Liverpool are assessing five candidates to potentially replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back. The boss Arne Slot is gears up for what looks to be a busy summer transfer window.

The England international’s contract will and there are no signs of a new deal yet. So, the club is looking for all options. European clubs are already allowed to approach the defender on a free transfer.

He is very unlikely to extend his stay before June. The Reds will be on a risk of losing one of their biggest stars for nothing. Slot is looking at right-back options to ensure the team doesn’t lose their grip on the right flank.

Slot’s Shortlist Includes Frimpong, Porro, Kounde, Daniel Muñoz and Lutsharel Geertruida

The Reds are ready to reshape their backline if star full-back walks out. The Merseyside club is tracking five names, Jeremie Frimpong, Pedro Porro, Daniel Muñoz, Jules Kounde and Lutsharel Geertruida.

Frimpong is an good attacking full back. He has the potential to link up greatly with Mohamed Salah. Although, he doesn’t offer the playmaking range of Trent.

Porro, one of Spurs‘ standouts this season, offers consistency and creativity. He has already by far produced seven goal involvements in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace’s Muñoz is a budget-friendly option with Premier League experience. Meanwhile, Kounde is great defensively and brings UCL experience. However, signing him from Barcelona won’t be easy at all.

Geertruida is a former Slot player and he looks like the most perfect fit for the side. He would love to reunite with his old boss after a tough campaign at Leipzig.

Liverpool’s efforts to prepare for life without their English right-back shows their intent about staying at the top. Whether their star stays or goes, the Reds are getting their transfer ducks in a row.
