Despite this interest, Liverpool stays determined in this deal. Ben Jacobs revealed that Liverpool have been in direct contact with Lile for discussing the proposed transfer of Leny Yoro. He also highlighted how highly Liverpool rates the youngster and they are fully focused on executing this deal.

“Liverpool are serious about Yoro. They’ve been in direct contact with Lille to understand the terms, and they see him, as I would say, the top target in that position and very much a generational talent. So they’re certainly not going to give up on the Lille centre-back,” Jacobs stated.

Financial Implications

Lille has reportedly set a high price tag of around £51 million for Yoro, reflecting his immense potential and the competitive market for young talents. Liverpool will have to meet this asking price and may even have to go higher to beat their competition for the player.
