Liverpool have Chelsea star on radar along with 19 year old

Liverpool are very likely to make some big moves in summer transfer window. They want to rebuild their defence and currently have one Chelsea star on their radar. In addition, they are also showing interest in 19 year old Premier League superstar.

The Reds can lose their captain Virgil van Dijk this summer. The Dutchman will be out of contract after the end of this season and as of now there are no talks about the extension. In addition, the Premier League leaders can also lose Ibrahima Konate who is linked with multiple clubs.

Liverpool will likely make some moves to improve their defence this summer. Even if Van Dijk extends his stay, he will surely need a proper replacement very soon. Hence, a new defender can be expected to end at Anfield this summer.

Liverpool linked with 2 young defenders

According to Rousing The Kop, Liverpool are showing interest in Dean Huijsen and Levi Colwill of Bournemouth and Chelsea respectively. Both of these players are very young and currently impressing in Premier League.

Dean Huijsen is 19 years old and is having a superb debut season at England. He is regular starter for Bournemouth star and has played 25 games. He has also scored 2 goals in those games and has shown his attacking qualities as well.

Huijsen is rated very highly and looked upon by multiple top clubs. He has £50 million release clause in his contract that will be active from this summer. The Cherries will want that release clause to be paid fully.

Levi Colwill is 22 years old and has been regular starter for Chelsea this season. He has played 25 games so far. He has also scored 1 goal and assisted another. The Blues rate him very highly and are unwilling to sell him. Hence, it will be very hard for Liverpool to sign him.
