Liverpool keeping tabs on Getafe star Enes Unal

Liverpool

Getafe forward Enes Unal is reportedly on the wishlist of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as per the report in Turkish outlet Fanatik

The 24-years-old is enjoying a terrific time at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez Stadium this term, scoring 15 goals and notching up a solitary assist in 34 La Liga appearances. The Turkish had a spell in English football with Manchester City but never featured for the Citizens before being sold out to Villarreal back in 2017.

According to the report, the Reds are looking to bolster their forward line following the impending departures of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino. And Liverpool is keen on signing Enes Unal as the English club believes that the 24-years-old will be an apt addition to play in the gegenpressing system.

The report further claims that Liverpool wants to sign Darwin Nunez. And he is their primary choice to sign in the summer. However, if they miss out on the opportunity to sign the Uruguayan then they will go for their second choice which is the Turkey international.

Will Enes Unal be a good option for Liverpool?

Liverpool already has five top-class players at their disposal to play in the forward line. However, Roberto Firmino has struggled to showcase his best in the last couple of seasons. So, adding more options will be a shrewd decision by the club’s hierarchy.

Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez will be a great acquisition for the Red Devils. While Enes Unal could also be a good fit for Liverpool. Although he will not be the first choice initially for Jurgen Klopp’s side. He could break into the first-team berth with time.

The 24-years-old has showcased his goal-scoring prowess in Spanish football. And the Anfield faithful will be hoping the youngster will be able to display the same performance. If he joins the Merseyside club.

Following a disappointing draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Liverpool has faced a big stumbling block in their quest for the Premier League title. They are currently three points behind the leader Manchester City with three games still to play.
