Liverpool to face competition from Arsenal for €40 million star

Liverpool were desperate to sign a holding midfielder this summer. They were heavily linked with Martin Zubimendi who rejected the offer to join them. The Reds were unable to sign in that area but have no regrets as Ryan Gravenberch is in a very good form. But, Liverpool are still interested to strengthen their midfield and are now linked with Ederson who is also looked upon by Arsenal and four other Premier League clubs.

The Reds are on the top of the Premier League table with 18 points. Ryan Gravenberch is being used by Arne Slot as holding midfielder. The Dutch player has started all of the League and UCL matches and is having a good season.

Despite Gravenberch being in the top form, The Reds still want to sign another player who can operate in that position. For this, they have scouted Ederson who plays for Atlanta and is valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt.

As per TBR football, Ederson was looked upon by Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle United in his recent UCL fixture. The reports also states that Arsenal and Aston Villa are also amongst the top clubs interested for his signature.

Ederson was very good against Shakhtar Donetsk. He completed 50 passes with 94% accuracy and had 2 total shots. Along with 62 touches, Ederson was able to achieve 67% accuracy in sending long balls. Lastly, he made 5 recoveries and won 60% of his duels.

Ederson is really a very good player and it can be seen from his performance against Genoa yesterday. He scored 1 goal and had 92% passing accuracy. He also had 100% shooting accuracy and 100% dribble success.

Along with 67 touches he made 5 passes in final third and and was able to send 5 long balls with 83% accuracy. He also made 1 clearance, 2 interceptions and 6 recoveries. Lastly he won 57% duels and ended the match by being third most rated player. All stats are as per FOTMOB.
