Liverpool showing interest in LOSC Lille defender Sven Botman, according to a report from footmercato.
The Reds made contact with Les Dogues in November regarding a potential move for Botman ahead of their injury struggles in defence.
Botman has started in all 16 outings for LOSC Lille, who sit top of the Ligue 1 standings. Liverpool also sit top in English Premier League despite missing key centre-back pairing Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez to season-out injuries.

Although Liverpool have fared remarkably well following Virgil van Dijk’s and Joe Gomez’s injuries, they are still likely to delve into the transfer market to strengthen their defensive ranks in January.
The most recent name to be linked with Liverpool is Sven Botman.
Though reports suggest Liverpool have contacted his agent, talks however have not advanced past the stage of simple contact.
Les Dogues had reportedly set a £45 million valuation for the youngster. However, the French outfit would now be willing to sell the Dutchman for around £27 million due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
Even if they sell him for £27 million, Lille would still make around three times what they paid Ajax for him only six months ago.
Serie A giants Inter Milan also keeping tabs on Botman situation, looking at him as a replacement for Milan Skriniar.
These funds could go a long way to securing the financial future of the club. Botman has become a regular starter for Lille this season, making 22 appearances so far this season after joining on a five-year deal.
Botman called up for Netherlands squad last month to replace the injured Nathan Ake.
Botman has certainly made an impression over at Lille and could well become another top defender hailing from the Netherlands.
