Madrid decide about youngster’s future amidst Arsenal’s interest

  • Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid gem Arda Guler
  • The 19 year old is said to be unhappy due to lack of game time this season
  • Real Madrid have now taken a crucial decision about the youngster’s future

Real Madrid signed Arda Guler last summer from Fenerbahce. He was unlucky to face injury right away after moving to Spain. But, the Turkish international impressed in the second half of the season.

Everyone expected Guler to get lot more chances this season. But the player has fallen down the pecking order. He has played only 304 minutes across 11 matches this season.

This has resulted in rumours being generated about the player’s move away from Santiago Bernabeu. Gunners were said to have interest to sign Guler and repeat the move of their club captain Odegaard.

Madrid take key decision about Arda Guler amidst interest from Arsenal

Arsenal were planning to sign Guler on loan in January. They thought it will be of best interest for both clubs along with the player. Madrid could help Guler in getting regular game time whereas Arsenal will add more and much needed quality to their attack.

But now as per Defensa Central, Real Madrid have rejected the loan proposal. They are not interested to send the 19 year old away on loan. They want him to stay and develop within their setup and progress eventually as a regular starter.

This will come as a big blow for Arsenal. They would have loved to have someone like Guler on their side only if it for half season. The 19 year old can play in multiple positions and is very good at attacking.

Arsenal will now have to respect Madrid’s choice and continue their hunt for another attacker. They have already decided to not make any major signing in January. Hence, they will eye another loan move.
